Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, work email address, and role, provided when your company’s administrator creates your account.
• Customer content — the quotes, catalog items, pricing rules, customer and contact records, notes, and ERP data that your company enters into or connects to its workspace. This content belongs to your company; we process it to run the Service.
• Website submissions — if you leave your email on our website (for updates or to book a demo), we store that address along with basic campaign attribution (such as the link parameters and referring page that brought you to us).
• Website analytics — our public website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it (pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, and device type). See “Cookies and analytics” below. The signed-in Janus application does not use third-party analytics.
• Usage and log data — technical logs generated by operating the Service (such as request metadata, timestamps, and error diagnostics), used for security, debugging, and reliability.

How we use information

• To provide, operate, and secure the Service, including authentication and per-workspace data isolation.
• To power Janus’s AI features (see “AI processing” below).
• To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
• To send occasional product updates to addresses submitted through our website — you can unsubscribe at any time, and we do not sell or rent email lists.

AI processing

Janus’s advisory features send relevant workspace content (for example, the quote being edited and related catalog or customer records) to our AI model provider, Anthropic, to generate advice and suggested changes. Under our provider agreements, this content is not used to train the provider’s foundation models. Suggested changes to your data are applied only under your workspace’s configured authorization mode — by default, a person reviews and approves them.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers (subprocessors) we use to run Janus, and with authorities where the law requires it. Our core subprocessors are:

• Amazon Web Services (United States, us-east-1) — application hosting, database, and infrastructure.
• Anthropic (United States) — AI model processing for advisory features.
• Google (United States) — demo scheduling (Google Calendar) when you book a call with us, and website analytics (Google Analytics) on our public website.

Cookies and analytics

Our public website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used. We use this information in aggregate — which pages are visited, where traffic comes from, and which campaigns lead to demo bookings or sign-ups. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and it is not connected to the data in any customer workspace. You can prevent this collection with a browser setting or extension that blocks analytics (such as Google’s opt-out browser add-on). The signed-in Janus application sets only the cookies required to operate the Service (such as authentication), and no third-party analytics run there.

Security and data isolation

Each customer workspace’s data is isolated at the database layer with per-tenant row-level security, enforced independently of the application code. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Application credentials and secrets are held in a managed secrets store, not in code.

Retention and deletion

We retain workspace data for as long as your company maintains its account, and delete or return it on written request at offboarding. Website-submitted emails are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Operational logs are retained on a rolling basis for security and debugging.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information about you. For data in a company workspace, we may direct your request to that company (our customer), which controls the workspace. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.

Children

Janus is a business product and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes affecting customer workspaces will be communicated to customer administrators.
